Do I need to be a programmer?
Some coding helps, but the project walks you through it and IBM Bob does the hard part. We mark your thinking, not your typing.
What is Bob?
IBM’s AI coding partner. It reads code, suggests changes, and does the work you ask it to. You use it the way a real engineer does.
Who actually issues the certificate?
IBM does, through IBM SkillsBuild, on IBM’s terms. ProoV marks your work and hosts the portfolio page. We never issue anything on IBM’s behalf.
Do I need to install anything?
No, it all runs in your browser. You do need a laptop or desktop, though: two of the graded tasks want a real keyboard and a wider screen.
Is there a deadline?
This run is open for a limited period. Once you start you can stop and come back, and your progress is saved, so it is worth beginning before it closes.
What does it cost?
Nothing. The project is free, the IBM Bob trial you use inside it is free with no card, and both certificates are free.
